It’s known for its medieval cities, rich gastronomy and seaside resorts. The capital, Bologna, is a vibrant city with an 11th-century university and arched porticos lining the streets and squares of its medieval core.

Wednesday April 1: Bologna Airport/Parma

  1. AM Private transfer from Bologna Airport to Park Hotel Pacchiosi in Parma, times to be determined.
  2. Check in at the hotel and free time.
  3. 08:00 PM Welcome dinner at Restaurant La Forchetta – Parma.
  4. Overnight at Park Hotel Pacchiosi – Parma.

Thursday April 2: Parma/Collecchio/Parma

  1. Breakfast at Park Hotel Pacchiosi
  2. 11:00 AM Visit and tasting lunch at Caseificio Montecoppe (cheese producer) – Collecchio.
  3. 02:30 PM Transfer to the hotel.
  4. 03:30 PM Guided tour of Parma.
  5. Free time, walking and enjoying the city and dinner on your own.
  6. Overnight at Park Hotel Pacchiosi.

Friday April 3: Parma/Langhirano/Parma

  1. Breakfast at Park Hotel Pacchiosi.
  2. 09:00 AM Transfer from the hotel to Langhirano (driving time approx. 30 mins).
  3. 09:30 AM Visit and tasting at Conti Prosciutti (Prosciutto di Parma producer) – Langhirano.

Monday April 6: Bologna/Modena/Maranello/Bologna

  1. Breakfast at Hotel I Portici.
  2. 09:00 Transfer from the hotel to Modena (driving time approx. 1 hr).
  3. 10:00 AM Visit at Ferrari Museum and Factory of Maranello and, as option, possibility of test drive at Autodromo di Modena or shopping time downtown in Modena.
  4. 01:00 PM Transfer to balsamic vinegar company.
  5. 01:30 AM Visit and tasting lunch at Acetaia Giusti (balcamic vinegar producer) – Modena.
  6. 04:00 PM Transfer to the hotel.
  7. Free time and dinner on your own in Bologna.
  8. Overnight at Hotel I Portici.

Tuesday April 7: Bologna/Comacchio/Ferrara/Bologna

  1. Breakfast at Hotel I Portici.
  2. 10:30 AM Transfer from the hotel to Comacchio (driving time 1 hr 15 mins).
  3. Free time in Comacchio, beautiful village called “Little Venice”, for its channels, and renowned for the eel, Slow Food Presidium.
  4. 12:30 PM Lunch at Restaurant La Barcaccia – Comacchio.
  5. 02:30 PM Transfer from Comacchio to Ferrara (driving time approx. 45 mins)
  6. 03:30 PM Guided tour of Ferrara.
  7. Free time, walking and shopping in Ferrara.
  8. 06:00 PM Transfer back to Bologna and dinner on your own.
  9. Overnight at Hotel I Portici.

Wednesday April 8: Bologna/Torre Maina/Bologna

  1. Breakfast at Hotel I Portici.
  2. 08:30 AM Transfer from the hotel to Torre Maina (driving time 1 hr).
  3. 09:30 AM Visit the Agriturismo Il Piccolo Mugnaio, learning about local ingredients.
  4. 10:30 AM Cooking class.

A professional chef will work with your group and you will be responsible for preparing a traditional Emilia Romagna meal. You will start, learning about local ingredients. Then the chef will assist you in the preparation of the dishes. At lunch you will enjoy what you have prepared.
