See the making of Pecorino cheese from farm to table. Visit an artisan Bottarga producer and enjoy a tasting lunch. Visit Aquarium Rubrum, the first aquarium of live coral in Italy, and a coral workshop. Explore the Tharros archeological site with an English-speaking tour guide. Dine in traditional restaurants where you will sample specialities of the region. 4-star hotels, cooking class, shopping, eating and drinking!

FROM SEAFOOD TO SAFFRON

This tour will take you on a deep dive of the well-kept Italian secret that is Sardinia. Known for its beautiful emerald coastline, archaeological treasures and luscious culinary delicacies, we will go behind the scenes with some of the island’s most celebrated artisan producers. From saffron to seafood, we will meet the locals and get to know this island and its culinary treasures.

  1. Private bus transfer from Cagliari Airport to Cagliari (times to be determined).
  2. Check in at Hotel Villa Fanny and free time.
  3. 08:00 PM Welcome Dinner with aTTavola at Restaurant Grotta Marcello in Cagliari.
  4. Overnight at Hotel Villa Fanny – Cagliari

Saturday 13 May: Cagliari/Cabras/Tharros/Cabras

  1. Breakfast at Hotel Villa Fanny.
  2. 09:00 AM Luggage collection and check out.
  3. 09:30 AM Transfer from Cagliari to a Bottarga Producer in Cabras.
  4. 11:30 AM Visit and tasting lunch at a Bottarga producer- Consorzio Pontis
  5. 02:30 PM Transfer from Cabras to Tharros Archeological Area and guided tour
  6. 04:30 PM Transfer back to Cabras.
  7. 05:00 PM Check-in at Hotel Aquae Sinis in Cabras.

  2. 03:00 PM Visit and tasting at a Myrtle, Vernaccia and Grappa producer- Silvio Carta
